JD Mitchell has been a punk rock musician, public access cameraman, meat cutter, history biographer, and teacher. In this time, he made a series of cut-n-paste collages and filmed them as a series of videos for a science fiction story and later made a stop-motion movie based on the same story. He also is selling the collage books he made from screenshots on his videos on Etsy. Since then, he has focused on critiques of the Cascadia bio-regionalist movement, a parody of the old 1970’s Japanese anime series Space Battleship Yamato, storylines of an outsourced America on the brink of civil war, and a dystopian football league in a post-American world, with each team representing a part of American history. He plans on releasing the followup to The Curse of the Worlds, his A Lowercased earth series, focusing on the fall of a monarch committed to staving off the destruction of her world and the rise of Wicked Old Earth. Today he is a continuation high school social studies teacher, and he lives with his beautiful wife, a talented artist, and his awesome children, in Atascadero, California.
